Critical Thinking Questions and Answers

Primary Question:

If it takes a sweater 20 minutes to dry in the sun, how long will it take 20 of such sweaters to dry in the sun?

Answer: 20 minutes

Secondary Question:

If you are to cross a river with a yam tuber, a hyena, and a goat in a canoe that can accommodate only you and one of the three items listed above at a time, in what order will you get the three items across the river without losing any one of them to the other?

Answer: Take the goat first to the other side, then take the yam to the goat, then take the goat back with you, then take the hyena to the yam, then go back to pick the goat.
